A musical journey through time that began in 1972, when the young Jørgen “Twiggi” Juul first stepped behind the decks at the Youth House in Roskilde. Armed with the hottest hits of the era and a burning passion for music, he laid the foundation for what would become one of Denmark’s most respected and experienced providers of mobile discos.
From town festivals in Roskilde to Miss Denmark shows, from Johnny Reimar’s children’s shows to prestigious events at Tivoli and Parken – Twiggi’s Rolling Discos have, over five decades, created the soundtrack to some of Denmark’s greatest moments. In addition to performing as a DJ and providing disco services for parties across the country, Twiggi.dk also took on sound and lighting jobs:
- 1980: Sound engineer for Miss Denmark, working with Claus Jespersen.
- 1981: Sound engineer for Miss Denmark, working with Tommy P.
- 1981 and onwards: Collaborated with Johnny Reimar’s Party Show, handling numerous children’s shows such as Anders And Show (Donald Duck Show), The Smurfs, Trolderik, Mummy Trolls, Rasmus Klump, and more. This led to touring with Disney shows in Denmark and Norway, as well as providing sound for the Anders And Mini Cup football tournament.
- 1999–2002: Twiggi.dk managed the entire production of the Miss Denmark Show.
- 1996 to present: Provides lighting and sound solutions for events, including discos at Parken Stadium. Over time, additional venues have chosen Twiggi.dk for its flexible solutions, including Nimb, Tivoli, Kollekolle, Regatta Pavilion, Ledreborg Castle, Hotel Prindsen, Comwell Roskilde, and many others.
- 2004: Twiggi.dk began supplying equipment for gymnastics performances for DGI/Roskilde on a small scale. Over time, this expanded to include events ranging from spring performances in Roskilde Hall to local showcases in clubs from Lyngby to Borup.
- 2006: Initiated a collaboration with DJ Kjeld Tolstrup to supply DJ equipment for his various gigs across Denmark. This partnership continued until Kjeld Tolstrup’s untimely death in March 2011.
In 1986, we released our own single under the name Twiggi Band, titled Disco World. The single was a “must-have” in any record collection, and many of our DJs still have it in their collections to this day.
The single was released in connection with our 15th anniversary, back when we called ourselves Twiggi’s Disco World (Twiggi.dk). It was primarily a celebration of the first 15 years of rolling discos, but the release of the record also symbolized our intention to continue.
We are among the very few rolling discos to have released a single under our own name—if not the only rolling disco ever to do so. Now, more than five decades have passed since our first gig, reaffirming our commitment to providing our customers “a place you want to go”—namely: Disco World.

Twiggi.dk has a dedicated team of experienced DJs, known for their ability to tailor music selections to suit the audience. Each year, our DJs perform a large number of gigs for Twiggi.dk, and all of them have references from many of our regular clients. Twiggi.dk boasts 26 registered DJs.
With such a large pool of DJs, we can always provide one that perfectly fits your event. Our DJs specialize in various categories: Some focus on events for a mature audience (30+). Others stay on top of the latest trends, making them ideal for schools, high schools, youth parties, and nightclubs. A third group consists of all-round DJs, who are often preferred for corporate events, weddings, copper anniversaries, silver anniversaries, birthdays, confirmations, and similar gatherings with a diverse mix of guests.
Our DJs represent us, so it’s essential that we always employ skilled professionals. In addition to having the necessary experience and expertise to read the dance floor, our DJs arrive in presentable attire (typically suits or jeans with blazers). For themed parties, our DJs will naturally dress to match your chosen theme.

The Rolling Discos Through More Than Five Decades
The year is 1972, and from the speakers at the home on Holbækvej 10 in Roskilde, the sound of one of the era’s biggest hits, Popcorn by the synth-pop group Hot Butter, fills the air. Without a doubt, this was a single that 15-year-old Jørgen “Twiggi” Juul would bring to his gig later that evening, where he was set to perform as a DJ at Youth House in the evening club on Parkvej, Roskilde.
